With the ever increasing demand for professional truck drivers, job placement from the Lake Superior College trucking program is excellent. Upon the completion of the truck driving – advanced, you will obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License and learn tractor-trailer basic and advanced operation techniques. Skills & Knowledge
- Obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Demonstrate basic and advanced vehicle operation and control
- Become Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation qualified
- Complete driving internship
Students must be able to pass and possess the following:
- Class A CDL permit – No major driving violations in the previous five years
- DOT physical
- Pass a drug screen
Approximate total tuition & fees for MN residents to complete this degree. Starting Fall 2018, LSC will charge the same rates regardless of a student’s state of residence. Non-Minnesota residents will pay the same tuition rates as Minnesota residents.

The truck driving certificate may be completed in 16 credits if student meets pre-program requirements.
